Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) is an advanced surface-sensitive technique. This technique enables rapid analysis and imaging of single molecules at nanoscale (1010-1011), e.g., bacteria, cancer cells, proteins and chemical components, significantly improving the speed and accuracy of low abundance analytes detection in wide applications such as biomarker analysis, medicines, chemistry and materials.

The key point of SERS ultra-sensitive technology is the SERS substrates, and excellent substrates are a manner similar of signal amplifiers greatly intensifying weak Raman emission by many orders of magnitude. SERS substrates are commonly formed with nanostructured precious metals (gold and silver) and silicon or glass surfaces. However, SERS substrates are tiny and prone to maldistribution and deactivation, thus requiring high fabrication techniques.

Amerigo Scientific supplies ease-to-use SERS substrates for Raman-based quantitative and qualitative analysis, saving the time and effort of complex preparation. The substrates pass quality inspection showing advantages of stability, sensitivity, and compatibility with a wide range of SERS instruments and applications.
