Gas chromatography (GC) packed columns are one type of columns for gas chromatography. A GC packed column is filled with a solid adsorbent (gas–liquid chromatography) or a particulate solid support impregnated with 0.5–25% liquid stationary phase (gas–solid chromatography). Although GC packed columns produce broad peak shapes and have low separation performance, they can handle larger samples and have more stationary phase options than GC capillary columns, reducing the risk of overloading and contamination.
Amerigo Scientific offers GC packed columns in a range of dimensions, formats, stationary phases and tubing materials, to simplify the selection of the best packed columns for different analytical applications. Our GC packed columns provide guaranteed filtration, separation and purification solutions for a large variety of industries, such as environmental science (malodorous substance, pesticide residue and organic mercury analysis), biochemical analysis (amino acid, fat acid, urinary steroid and medicine analysis), and petrochemical industry (light oil, permanent gas, and trihalomethane analysis).
