Diffusion is the main mode of mass transfer in porous particle chromatography. In polydisperse media, the uneven diffusion pathlength between particles of different sizes and shapes leads to slow mass transfer rate, long elution time, and band broadening, resulting in a loss of chromatographic column efficiency. These limitations can be overcome by using spherical monodisperse media with similar diffusion path lengths.
Amerigo Scientific provides monodisperse chromatographic media for high performance liquid chromatography (UPLC and HPLC), process-scale purification, and solid phase extraction (SPE) sample preparation. These media of spherical monodisperse particles are manufactured utilizing world leading technology in an ISO-9001-certified facility for the purification of proteins, enzymes, antibodies, viruses, and other substances.
Developed using unique patented technology, the chromatographic media are characterized by uniform particle size, perfect sphericity, excellent mechanical strength, which give the products advantages in chromatographic applications including high efficiency, robust packaging and repackaging, quality consistency, etc.
