  • Oligonucleotides (OGNs) are fragments of nucleic acids, such as intermediate products of full-length DNA or RNA. Single-stranded OGNs with any particular sequence can be synthesized in the laboratory. These OGN molecules have a wide range of applications such as research, disease diagnosis, and therapy. OGNs can be used as promoters for polymerase chain reactions for gene expression studies, or as probes for DNA sequencing, characterization, and tracking in biological systems. Antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) are short, synthetic, single-stranded oligonucleotides that can bind to specific segments of mRNA to reduce, restore, or modify specific protein expression. Some of them have been developed as potential therapeutic drugs for some diseases, especially genetic diseases.

    Amerigo Scientific provides several high cost-effective resins for the purification of oligonucleotides using strong anion exchange or reversed-phase chromatography. These chromatographic methods can be used alone or in combination, depending on the purpose of the application.

    NanoQ-15L and NanoQ-30L are strong acid anion exchange chromatography resins made from monodisperse PS-DVB matrix with particle size of 15µm and 30µm, respectively. They are widely used in oligonucleotide chromatography purification due to their uniformed particle size, high resolution, and superior mechanic strength enabling high flow rate operation.

    NW Rose Q FF is a strong anion exchange chromatography media prepared using high-flow rate agarose microspheres coupled with quaternary amino base groups. This product has the characteristics of dynamic binding capacity, high chemical and physical stability, good repeatability, and simple clean-in-place and sterilization-in-place.

    UniQ-30S belongs to the Uni series of ion-exchange chromatography media designed for the purification of small proteins, peptides, oligonucleotides and small molecule drugs such as antibiotics. The supports of UniQ-30S are highly crosslinked polymethacrylate beads with uniform particle size. UniQ-30S resins have excellent hydrophilicity and low nonspecific adsorption properties by polyhydroxyl surface modification. In addition, UniQ-30S resins with small pore size meets the requirements of reproducibility, scalability, and reliability for bioprocessing.

    UniPS 30-300 is reversed-phase chromatography (RPC) resins, which has the characteristics of high capacity and wide pH stability range. UniPS 30-300 resins are monodisperse rigid PS/DVB copolymer microspheres with a particle size of 30 μm and a pore size of 300 Å, and they are particularly suitable for RPC purification in operations requiring high pH and high pressure.
