Glycans are chains of carbohydrates that are free or conjugated to macromolecules, such as proteins (known as glycoproteins) or lipids (known as glycolipids). Glycans play major metabolic, structural and physical roles in biological systems of all life forms, and are implicated in numerous diseases. Due to the diversity and complexity of glycans, there is an increasing requirement in accurately characterizing glycan. And well-characterized glycan reference standards are one of the important factors to ensure the consistency and accuracy of the data produced during glycan analysis.

Amerigo Scientific provides a large range of glycan standards for different applications, including the analysis of sialic acids, monosaccharides, glycan profiling and characterization. We offer unlabeled glycan standards including N-glycans (N), O-glycans (O), oligosaccharides, glycoproteins / glycopeptides, and glycan library standards. In addition, chemically derivatized glycans are available, such as N- and O- glycan standards fluorescently labelled with 2-aminobenzamide (2-AB), 2-aminobenzoic acid (2-AA), procainamide, 8-aminopyrene-1,3,6-trisulfonic acid (APTS), and permethylated glycan standards.
