Acetyl-Specific Antibody Products

Acetyl-Specific Antibody Products

Background

At Amerigo Scientific, we are committed to providing cutting-edge solutions for scientific research. We provide acetyl-specific antibody products that are designed to facilitate the study of acetylation modification. Our antibodies exhibit exceptional specificity and sensitivity towards acetylated proteins, making them invaluable tools for investigating the roles of acetylation in various biological processes.

Protein Acetylation Modifications

Protein acetylation is a fundamental post-translational modification by which an acetyl group is attached to a protein molecule at various amino acid residues, predominantly lysine residues or the N-terminus. This modification plays a crucial role in regulating diverse cellular processes such as gene expression, protein stability, and protein-protein interactions. Some prominent acetylated proteins include histones, p53, tubulin, and heat shock proteins. Histone acetylation alters the chromatin structure and facilitates gene expression. p53 acetylation influences its stability and function, affecting cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Tubulin acetylation influences microtubule stability and dynamics, impacting cell division and intracellular transport.

  • Lysine Acetylation: Lysine acetylation involves the transfer of an acetyl group to the lysine residue of a protein. Lysine acetylation is reversible and is catalyzed by lysine acetyltransferases (KATs). The deacetylation process is catalyzed by lysine deacetylases (KDACs).
  • N-Terminal Protein Acetylation: N-terminal acetylation involves the addition of an acetyl group to the alpha-amino group of the N-terminal amino acid of a protein. It is an irreversible process. N-terminal acetylation is catalyzed by N-terminal acetyltransferases (NATs).

Our Products

Acetyl-specific antibodies are invaluable research tools for studying protein acetylation. Amerigo Scientific is excited to launch a new collection of acetyl-specific antibody products designed specifically to target acetylated proteins. Our acetylation-specific antibodies target a diverse array of proteins involved in essential biological processes, including histones, transcription factors, and metabolic enzymes. These antibodies enable the investigation of key acetylation sites, shedding light on their roles in gene expression, cellular metabolism, and disease mechanisms. These antibodies are engineered for high specificity and sensitivity, allowing for precise detection and analysis of acetylated proteins in various biological samples.

Our acetyl-specific antibodies can be used in various experimental techniques, such as ELISA, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence, facilitating the detection and quantification of acetylated proteins in cell lysates, tissues, or fixed cells. By leveraging these antibodies, researchers can explore the dynamics of protein acetylation under different cellular conditions, identify acetylation sites on specific proteins, and assess the impact of acetylation on protein functionality. Explore our range of acetylation-specific antibodies and elevate your research on acetylation to new heights.
