Full Name: Natural Killer Cell Cytotoxicity Receptor 3 Ligand 1
BACKGROUND: NCR3LG1 (Natural Cytotoxicity Triggering Receptor 3 Ligand 1), also known as UL16-binding protein 1 (ULBP1), is a protein involved in the immune response, particularly in the recognition and elimination of infected or transformed cells by natural killer (NK) cells. NCR3LG1 is part of the ULBP family of proteins, which are ligands for the NKG2D receptor, an activating receptor on NK cells and certain T cells.
