Full Name: Dengue envelope protein domain III
BACKGROUND: Dengue virus has four serotypes: DENV1, DENV2, DENV3, and DENV4, each capable of causing dengue fever, a potentially severe and life-threatening illness. The envelope (E) protein is a critical structural protein of the dengue virus, involved in virus attachment, entry, and fusion with host cells. It is composed of three distinct domains. EDIII is an immunoglobulin-like domain located at the C-terminus of the E protein.
