The FOPPR™ sensing system is developed from a partially unclad optical fiber with a sensing region modified with gold nanoparticles and shows ideal characteristics such as label-free, real-time, and high sensitivity in biomolecular detection. The FOPPR™ platform has been applied to quantitative analysis of protein biomarkers in samples, and the results agree quantitatively with standard method.
