Norcantharidin is an antitumor drug that is a modified version of the natural product antitumor drug cantharidin. Norcantharidin is demethylated, which reduces its urinary system toxicity but not its antitumor efficacy. It has been found to induce apoptosis and act as an antineoplastic through the αvβ6-ERK signaling pathway.
