    Erlotinib is an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitor. Erlotinib specifically targets the EGFR tyrosine kinase ATP binding site, which is highly expressed and occasionally mutated in various forms of cancer. Erlotinib prevents EGFR homodimer formation, a conformational change required for signal transmittance.
