Emodin

- Overview
  - Emodin is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor found in multiple plants with a variety of bioactivity including anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial and anticancer activity. As an anticancer agent it has drawn attention by showing promising therapeutic effects on multiple times of cancer with and without combination treatment. As an antiviral, it has been shown to act as an interferon inducer.
    
    Emodin is soluble in DMSO and alcohol, and practically insoluble in water.
