  - Daunorubicin is a cytotoxic antibiotic with inhibiting effects in cell proliferation and migration. Daunorybicin binds to DNA and disrupts structural integrity. Daunorybicin is related to doxorubicin and idarubicin. It is applied in the treatment of numerous hematologic and solid cancers but it is most valuable for treating acute myelogenous leukemia and acute lymphocytic leukemia.
