pAAVone-sc-AAV12-CMV-EGFP is a plasmid used to produce scAAV12-CMV-EGFP using novel AAVone production system. It integrates all the AAV production necessary components, including Ad helper genes (E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA), AAV helper genes (Rep and AAV12), and a self-complementary AAV-CMV-EGFP genome. scAAV12-CMV-EGFP viruses can be simply and efficiently produced by transfection of this single-into host cells, such us HEK 293 and HEK 293T. AAV12 is a relatively lesser-known serotype of adeno-associated virus that has been studied less extensively than more common serotypes like AAV2, AAV8, and AAV9. While AAV12 shares some similarities with other serotypes in terms of structure, its unique tropism and transduction properties make it of interest for specific research areas, though it is not as widely used in gene therapy applications.
