pAAVone-AAV8-CMV-mCherry is a plasmid used to produce AAV8-CMV-mCherry using novel AAVone production system. It integrates all the AAV production necessary components, including Ad helper genes (E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA), AAV helper genes (Rep and AAV8 Cap), and a single-strand AAV-CMV-mCherry genome. AAV8-CMV-mCherry viruses can be simply and efficiently produced by transfection of this single-into host cells, such us HEK 293 and HEK 293T. AAV8 is a naturally occurring adeno-associated virus serotype that has been widely used in gene therapy due to its strong tropism for the liver, heart, and muscle tissues. It is known for its superior ability to transduce hepatocytes, making it a leading choice for liver-targeted gene therapies. AAV8 is also effective in delivering genes to other tissues such as cardiac and skeletal muscle.
