pAAVdual-mSncg-EGFP is used to produce AAV-mSncg-EGFP virus using novel AAVdual production system. In this plasmid, the regular single strand AAV genome with a mSncg promoter and an EGFP reporter is cloned into our novel Ad helper plasmid, mini-pHelper. AAV-mSncg-EGFP viruses can be generated by co-transfection of this plasmid with regular AAV helper (pRCap) plasmids, carrying AAV2 rep gene and different cap genes, without adding additional Ad helper plasmid to supply E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA functions.
The mSncg (mouse gamma-synuclein) promoter is a specialized regulatory element designed to drive retinal ganglion cell (RGC)-specific gene expression in mammalian systems. Incorporated into an adeno-associated virus (AAV) backbone, this promoter enables potent, selective, and sustained transgene expression in RGCs, making it ideal for ocular gene therapy applications, particularly in models of optic neuropathies. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
