pAAVdual-mCDH5-EGFP is used to produce AAV-mCDH5-EGFP virus using novel AAVdual production system. In this plasmid, the regular single strand AAV genome with a mCDH5 promoter and an EGFP reporter is cloned into our novel Ad helper plasmid, mini-pHelper. AAV-mCDH5-EGFP viruses can be generated by co-transfection of this plasmid with regular AAV helper (pRCap) plasmids, carrying AAV2 rep gene and different cap genes, without adding additional Ad helper plasmid to supply E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA functions.
The mCDH5 (mouse cadherin-5) promoter, also known as VE-cadherin promoter, is a highly specific regulatory element used to drive gene expression in vascular endothelial cells. Integrated into an AAV-compatible plasmid backbone, this promoter enables precise and robust transgene expression in endothelial tissues, making it ideal for vascular biology, angiogenesis research, and gene therapy targeting the vasculature. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
