pAAVdual-hSncg-EGFP is used to produce AAV-hSncg-EGFP virus using novel AAVdual production system. In this plasmid, the regular single strand AAV genome with a hSncg promoter and an EGFP reporter is cloned into our novel Ad helper plasmid, mini-pHelper. AAV-hSncg-EGFP viruses can be generated by co-transfection of this plasmid with regular AAV helper (pRCap) plasmids, carrying AAV2 rep gene and different cap genes, without adding additional Ad helper plasmid to supply E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA functions.
The hSncg
The hSncg (human gamma-synuclein) promoter is a specialized regulatory sequence optimized for retinal neuron-specific gene expression, particularly in retinal ganglion cells (RGCs). Packaged in an adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector, this promoter enables precise and sustained transgene expression in human and mammalian retinal tissues. It is ideal for applications in ocular gene therapy, neurodegeneration research, and cell-specific labeling. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
