pAAVdual-MMTV-EGFP is used to produce AAV-MMTV-EGFP virus using novel AAVdual production system. In this plasmid, the regular single strand AAV genome with a MMTV promoter and an EGFP reporter is cloned into our novel Ad helper plasmid, mini-pHelper. AAV-MMTV-EGFP viruses can be generated by co-transfection of this plasmid with regular AAV helper (pRCap) plasmids, carrying AAV2 rep gene and different cap genes, without adding additional Ad helper plasmid to supply E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA functions.
The MMTV promoter is a hormone-responsive regulatory element derived from the Mouse Mammary Tumor Virus, widely used in breast cancer research, mammary gland biology, and studies of hormone-regulated gene expression. Its ability to drive gene expression in response to hormones makes it a valuable tool for creating transgenic models, studying cancer, and exploring the effects of hormones on gene function. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
