pAAVdual-MIR218-EGFP is used to produce AAV-MIR218-EGFP virus using novel AAVdual production system. In this plasmid, the regular single strand AAV genome with a MIR218 promoter and an EGFP reporter is cloned into our novel Ad helper plasmid, mini-pHelper. AAV-MIR218-EGFP viruses can be generated by co-transfection of this plasmid with regular AAV helper (pRCap) plasmids, carrying AAV2 rep gene and different cap genes, without adding additional Ad helper plasmid to supply E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA functions.
The MIR218 promoter is a regulatory element that drives the expression of the miR-218 microRNA, which is involved in neural development, cancer progression, and other critical biological processes. This promoter is a valuable tool in neuroscience and cancer research, as well as in potential gene therapy applications where miR-218 regulation plays a pivotal role. Its specificity and function make it essential for studying the intricate mechanisms of gene regulation mediated by miR-218.Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
