pAAVdual-CD68-EGFP is used to produce AAV-CD68-EGFP virus using novel AAVdual production system. In this plasmid, the regular single strand AAV genome with a CD68 promoter and an EGFP reporter is cloned into our novel Ad helper plasmid, mini-pHelper. AAV-CD68-EGFP viruses can be generated by co-transfection of this plasmid with regular AAV helper (pRCap) plasmids, carrying AAV2 rep gene and different cap genes, without adding additional Ad helper plasmid to supply E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA functions.
The CD68 promoter is a regulatory sequence that controls the expression of the CD68 gene, which encodes a glycoprotein primarily expressed on the surface of macrophages, monocytes, and other cells of the mononuclear phagocyte system. CD68 is commonly used as a marker for these immune cells, particularly in studies involving inflammation, immune responses, and diseases related to the immune system. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
