pAAVdual-cTnT-EGFP is used to produce AAV-cTnT-EGFP virus using novel AAVdual production system. In this plasmid, the regular single strand AAV genome with a cTnT promoter and an EGFP reporter is cloned into our novel Ad helper plasmid, mini-pHelper. AAV-cTnT-EGFP viruses can be generated by co-transfection of this plasmid with regular AAV helper (pRCap) plasmids, carrying AAV2 rep gene and different cap genes, without adding additional Ad helper plasmid to supply E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA functions.
The cTNT promoter is a cardiac-specific regulatory element that drives gene expression in cardiomyocytes, the muscle cells of the heart. It is a powerful tool in cardiac gene therapy, cardiovascular research, and the creation of transgenic models to study heart function and diseases. Its specificity to cardiac tissue makes it invaluable for targeting gene expression within the heart, particularly in the context of treating and understanding cardiac conditions. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
