  - Marcfortine A is an indole alkaloid originally isolated from Penicillin roqueforti. It has nematocidal activity. The marcfortines are structurally related to paraherquamides.
    
    Marcfortine A is soluble in ethanol, methanol, DMF or DMSO but has poor water solubility.
