      • Overview
        • Maleimide Coated PCR 8 Strip Tubes are 8 connected 0.2 ml tubes made in clear polypropylene; they have thin walls that optimize the heat transfer from the block to the reaction solution. The Maleimide Coated PCR 8 Strip Tubes are offered with their flat caps; they are easy to open and close without tools and are compatible with most popular thermal cycler blocks.

Each PCR strip tubes has each numerically identified tube (from 1 to 8) for easy recognition and the strips have a holding strap at one end.
PCR 8 strip tubes are pre blocked with non proteic blocking buffer
Recommended working volume of 50 to 100 μl

          PACKAGING
Every single unit contains 100 PCR 8 strips tubes and caps
10 coated PCR 8 strips tubes in a single barrier bag with desiccant

          Surface:
Maleimide coated surface on Maleimide PCR 8 Strip Tubes offer a powerful instrument for binding biomolecules containing free sulfhydryl groups (e.g. peptides that contains a terminal cysteine or thiols containg haptens) or reducibile disulfide bonds. It's also very useful tool for assay requiring site-directed orientation.

          Background

Maleimide Coated Surface offers a powerful instrument for binding biomolecules containing free sulfhydryl groups or reducible disulfide bonds that are difficult to coat onto polystyrene plates.
Maleimide Coated Surfaces offer a powerful instrument for binding biomolecules containing free sulfhydryl groups (e.g. peptides that contain a terminal cysteine or thiol containing haptens), or reducible disulfide bonds that are difficult to coat onto polystyrene plates. These coated products are a very useful tool for assays requiring site-directed orientation of particular biomolecules especially during antibody production.

At pH 6.5-7.5 maleimide reacts with free sulfhydryl groups to yield stable bonds, while the reaction with amine becomes significant at pH > 7.5.

If sulfhydryl-containing peptides and proteins oxidize in solution and form disulfide bonds, they must be preventively reduced to free sulfhydryls for allowing interaction with maleimide.

          · Maleimide Coated Surfaces main features
Biomat Maleimide Coated products have the following characteristics:

          Manufactured under ISO:9001 guidelines
All lots are tested for uniformity and reproducibility
Certificate of Quality is released for every lot
          For Research Use Only
          Also, Maleimide Coated Products ensures:

          Uniformity
The Maleimide Coated Products show a CV% less than 10 when used as a catcher of Glutathione Ethyl Ester Biotin Amide (BioGEE) in an ELISA format using streptavidin-HRP as detector and TMB as substrate

          Storage and Stability
The Maleimide Coated products, if unopened, are stable at 2 – 8°C until the expiration date printed on the label. If opened, store in closed pouch with desiccant and use within the expiration date.
