Blocks the association of IKKbeta and NEMO.
F1 is a peptide derived from amino acids 46-60 of IkB kinase (IKK) interacting protein (IKIP) fused to a TAT cell penetrating peptide. F1 peptide specifically interacts with IKKalpha/beta to block association with the regulatory subunit NEMO, also known as
IKKgamma, thereby inhibiting the phosphorylation of IKKalpha/beta and the activation of NF-kB. F1 reduces LPS induced acute inflammation and attenuates Zymosan-induced acute arthritis in mice.
