  - Produces clear and reliable results when testing for Staphylococcus aureus. The plasma coated blue latex beads create the easiest read-out ever! Positives rapidly agglutinate the blue beads on a white background, while negatives remain consistently smooth.
    In addition, there are four separate bottles of blue latex so that multiple work stations may be equipped. The StaphTEX™ Blue kit tests for both the Clumping Factor and Protein A found in S. aureus. Clumping Factor is detected in both the free and bound form. The easy procedure involves placing several colonies within the raised circle on the card provided. A drop of the blue latex solution is added and mixed with the provided four inch flat-end mixing sticks. Positives begin to clump immediately. The entire procedure takes less than one minute. Liquid controls are included.
