Seplife® EMC1020 is a cross-linked styrene/DVB carrier with none functional groups and has the appearance of white spherical beads. The resin has a highly porous structure combined with a very high surface area which is ideal for immobilization of enzymes. It is used for enzyme immobilization by adsorption (hydrophobic interaction). The great advantage of immobilization by adsorption is the very high enzyme activity, the applicability of water free systems and the very simple immobilization method. The resin is mechanically very strong and can be used in either stirred tank or bed reactor. The resin ensures extremely high mechanical stability thus allowing the possibility to reuse the immobilized enzyme for many cycles.
