Overview
-
Seplife® EMC1040 is a highly hydrophobic copolymer of divinyl benzene and acrylate, that has the appearance of white spherical beads. The particle size distribution is 300-700micron. The resin is highly hydrophobic thanks to the aromatic structure and shows very high porosity and high rigidity. Immobilization on Seplife® EMC1040 is performed by adsorption and is particularly indicated for lipase immobilization for food applications. The enzyme activity that can be achieved on Seplife® EMC1040 is higher than 9000PLU/g. The robustness of the resin allows application in packed bed reactors and use at relatively high temperatures without significant change in reactor volume.
