Porcine Interleukin-17A (IL-17a) Recombinant has been recombinantly produced in yeast and purified using ion-exchange chromatography. This is a lyophilized powder with a purity of greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
This product is endotoxin free, naturally folded, and post-translationally modified. This product can be used in cell culture, as an ELISA Standard, and as a Western Blot control. Interleukin-17A (IL-17a) is a cytokine produced by T helper 17 cells (upon stimulation with IL-23). IL-17a promotes inflammation alongside tumer necrosis factor and IL-1. Active IL-17a interacts with type 1 cell surface receptor. Upon binding to the receptor, IL-17a then activates signaling cascades that induce chemokines that then recrute immune cells to the site of inflammation.
