pAAVone-AAV7-CMV-mCherry is a plasmid used to produce AAV7-CMV-mCherry using novel AAVone production system. It integrates all the AAV production necessary components, including Ad helper genes (E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA), AAV helper genes (Rep and AAV7 Cap), and a single-strand AAV-CMV-mCherry genome. AAV7-CMV-mCherry viruses can be simply and efficiently produced by transfection of this single-into host cells, such us HEK 293 and HEK 293T. AAV7 is a naturally occurring serotype of adeno-associated virus that is part of the same clade as AAV1 and AAV6. While less commonly used compared to other serotypes like AAV2, AAV8, or AAV9, AAV7 has shown potential in transducing a variety of tissues, particularly muscle and liver. It has been studied for its unique properties and could be considered for gene therapy applications where muscle or liver transduction is desired.
