pAAVone-AAV6-CMV-mCherry is a plasmid used to produce AAV6-CMV-mCherry using novel AAVone production system. It integrates all the AAV production necessary components, including Ad helper genes (E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA), AAV helper genes (Rep and AAV6 Cap), and a single-strand AAV-CMV-mCherry genome. AAV6-CMV-mCherry viruses can be simply and efficiently produced by transfection of this single-into host cells, such us HEK 293 and HEK 293T. AAV6 is a naturally occurring serotype of adeno-associated virus that has gained attention for its ability to transduce a wide range of tissues, particularly muscle, lung, and liver. AAV6 shares some similarities with AAV1, as both belong to the same clade, but AAV6 has unique properties that make it a preferred choice for certain gene therapy applications, especially those targeting muscle and the respiratory system.
