Methylated DNA extraction magnetic beads are specially surface-modified, superparamagnetic, nano-scale microspheres. Their core design principle is based on 5-methylcytosine antibodies or methylated DNA-binding domain proteins, enabling them to specifically recognize and bind methylated fragments within genomic DNA (i.e., fragments where a methyl group is added to the 5th carbon atom of the cytosine in CpG dinucleotides).
Unlike traditional genomic DNA extraction beads (which primarily rely on the non-specific binding of silanol groups to the DNA backbone), methylated DNA extraction magnetic beads are designed to "enrich" methylated fragments from complex whole-genome DNA for subsequent in-depth analysis.
Product Features:
· High Specificity & Affinity
Specifically designed to target and bind methylated DNA, ensuring superior enrichment and reducing non-specific carryover.
· Exceptional Sensitivity
Capable of efficiently isolating methylated DNA from limited and challenging samples, including cell-free DNA (cfDNA), FFPE tissues, and low-input samples.
· Maintained DNA Integrity
Provides gentle extraction that preserves DNA strand integrity and methylation status, ensuring reliable results for bisulfite conversion and subsequent analysis.
· Broad Sample Compatibility
Optimized for use with various sample types, including blood, plasma, serum, tissues, and cells.
· Streamlined, Automation-Friendly Workflow
The magnetic beads are compatible with manual protocols and automated high-throughput nucleic acid extraction systems, facilitating a rapid and consistent workflow without the need for organic solvents.
· High Consistency & Reproducibility
Manufactured with uniform size distribution and superior dispersion, guaranteeing batch-to-batch reproducibility and robust experimental performance. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
