LysoSensor® series probes are a type of fluorescent probe that mainly studies the dynamic synthesis and function of acidic compartments (such as lysosomes, acrosomes, and spermatozoa) in living cells. The staining of this type of probe is acidophilic and can accumulate in acidic organelles through protonation. This protonation of this type of probe can also relieve the fluorescence quenching of the dye, making the fluorescence intensity emitted stronger. Therefore, compared with the LysoTracker series probes, the fluorescence intensity of the LysoSensor® series probes increases in a pH-dependent (acidophilic) manner as the organelles become acidic.
This product, LysoSensor™ Green DND-189, has a lower pKa value and is fluorescent only in acidic compartments. This product is provided in the form of a 1 mM storage solution dissolved in anhydrous DMSO.
For selective labeling and staining of acidic compartments in living cells, LysoTracker® series probes can be selected. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
