HisSep Ni-NTA Agarose Resin 6FF uses highly cross-linked 6% agarose gel as the matrix and is chemically coupled with tetracoordinated nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) as the ligand. After chelating nickel ions (Ni2+), a very stable octahedral structure is formed, with the nickel ions at the center of the octahedron. This structure protects the nickel ions from the attack of small molecules, is more stable, and can withstand harsh conditions such as a certain concentration of reducing agents, denaturants or coupling agents. In addition, due to the pressure resistance of its matrix (can withstand a pressure of up to 0.3 MPa), this product can be used for industrial large-scale protein purification, and can achieve purification of the target protein at a relatively high flow rate.
