ER-Tracker probes are a series of probes that are cell membrane permeable and highly selective for the endoplasmic reticulum of living cells. Unlike traditional DiOC6(3), this series of probes hardly stain mitochondria and can stain the endoplasmic reticulum at lower concentrations, and are almost non-toxic to cells. Using the optimization steps provided below to stain living cells and then fix them with aldehydes, the staining characteristics of living cells can be partially retained.
This product is ER-Tracker Green (BODIPY® FL Glibenclamide), which is a conjugation of the green fluorescent dye BODIPY® FL and Glibenclamide, with Ex= 504 nm and Em= 511nm. Glibenclamide (Glyburide), a commonly used hypoglycemic drug, has important scientific research uses in the study of pancreatic β cells, insulin secretion, myocardial failure cell function, and arrhythmia. Glibenclamide highly binds to the sulfonylurea receptor of the ATP-sensitive K+ channel, and this receptor is enriched on the endoplasmic reticulum, so it is suitable for use as an endoplasmic reticulum fluorescent probe.
This product is a 1mM stock solution of ER-Tracker Green (BODIPY® FL Glibenclamide) in DMSO. The recommended working concentration is ~1μM.Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
