Ain is the abbreviation of the American Institute of nutrition, namely the American Institute of nutrition. In 1976, the Institute gathered a group of leaders in animal nutrition and welfare to release the first epoch-making purified feed formula AIN-76, creating a precedent for the use of purified feed in animal experiments. Later, after minor revision, the formula became the most widely used and well-known AIN-76A.
Based on the feed formula, researchers often add various drugs (various anti-cancer drugs, hypoglycemic drugs, etc.) to the feed, or reduce the content of a certain vitamin or mineral, or add various substances with special functions or change the ratio of carbohydrate, protein and fat, which has achieved the corresponding research purpose. This basic feed is also often used as a control feed. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
