      • Overview
        • Protein G Coated PCR 8 Strip Tubes are 8 connected 0.2 ml tubes made in clear polypropylene; they have thin walls that optimize the heat transfer from the block to the reaction solution. The Protein G Coated PCR 8 Strip Tubes are offered with their flat caps; they are easy to open and close without tools and are compatible with most popular thermal cycler blocks.

Each PCR strip tubes has each numerically identified tube (from 1 to 8) for easy recognition and the strips have a holding strap at one end.
PCR 8 strip tubes are pre blocked with standard proteic blocking (ELISA Blocking)
Recommended working volume of 50 to 100 μl

          PACKAGING
Every single unit contains 100 PCR 8 strips tubes and caps
10 coated PCR 8 strips tubes in a single barrier bag with desiccant

          Surface:
Protein G coated surface on Protein G PCR 8 Strip Tubes is designed for capture IgG applied directly or as antigen/antibody complexes. Among its applications there are: specific and sterically oriented bond of IgG, separation of IgG from other immunoglobulins, separation of antigen-antibodies complex and isolation and analysis of fusion proteins.

          Background

Protein G Coated Surface offers a powerful and sensitive instrument designed for the capture of IgG applied directly or as antibody/antigen complex.
Protein G Coated Surface provides an alternative to direct, passive adsorption methods for immobilizing antibodies for ELISA and other plates-based assay techniques.

Protein G (Recombinant Protein G – M.W. 26.1 kDa) from Streptococcus sp., expressed in E. coli, specifically binds the Fc region of immunoglobulins of many mammalian species (see Table 1), with an orientation that allows the F(ab)2 binding sites to be freely available for efficient binding to epitope. When coated onto microplates, the Protein G can securely capture IgG applied directly or as antigen/antibody complexes.

Also, Protein G Coated Products ensures:

          Uniformity
The Protein G Coated Products show a CV% less than 10 when used as a catcher of biotinylated human IgG in an ELISA format using streptavidin-HRP as detector and TMB as substrate.

          Storage and Stability
The Protein G Coated products, if unopened, are stable at 2 – 8°C until the expiration date printed on the label. If opened, store in closed pouch with desiccant and use within the expiration date.

          · Protein G Coated Microplates Specifications
          Coating
Recombinant Protein G (M.W. 26.1 kDa), from Streptococcus sp., expressed in E. coli, is coated using 200 µl/well.

          Binding capacity
Microplate was saturated with biotinylated human IgG at a concentration of 0.4-0.5 µg/ml (400-500 ng/well) in an ELISA format using Streptavidin-HRP diluted mixed with Streptavidin as detector and TMB as substrate.

          Sensitivity
Biotinylated human IgG was detected at a concentration significantly above background in an ELISA format using streptavidin-HRP as detector and TMB as substrate.
