Polystreptavidin R Glass Material Coating Kit

Streptavidin binds very tightly to the small molecule Biotin. Streptavidin coating of solid phases offers a universal immobilization principle for the detection and analysis of proteins, peptides, PCR-fragments, haptens etc., which must be present in biotinylated form.
The Polystreptavidin R is characterized by an extraordinary high Biotin binding capacity. Coatings made of Polystrept R combine the excellent binding capacity with a high chemo and thermo stability. It is very suitable for coating membranes, beads, biochips, plastics, glass etc.
Polystreptavidin R is part of this set of reagents, which has been supplemented by a special solution for pre-coating. The additional pre-coating serves to improve the outcome and should be used to ensure a high quality coating with Polystreptavidin R. The coating procedure of glass material starts with the silanization.

The product contains the reagents Silan Solution 1 and 2 Concentrates, PreCoating Solution 1 Concentrate and Polystreptavidin R and the associated dilution and washing buffer. The kit is designed for the manufacture of a maximum volume of 20 ml coating solution.
It is used for covalent binding of the pre-coating substance and the further coating with Polystreptavidin “Maximum Capacity”.
We offer two variants for testing: variant A with precoating and variant B directly covalent binding of Polystreptavidin R without precoating.
