      • Overview
        • Plasmid Cap Mustang is a thiophilic affinity resin made by fixing the sulfur compound 2-mercaptopyridine to fine particles of high rigidity agarose. The optimized ligand density has appropriate affinity to the super-helix DNA. Its fine particle size boosts the binding capacity of super-helix DNA with big molecular weight. Thiophilic affinity works by using the interaction between electron donor and electron accepter to isolate and purify biomolecules, which is strengthened in high-salt environments and weakened in low-salt environments.
