pAAVdual-MHCK7-EGFP is used to produce AAV-MHCK7-EGFP virus using novel AAVdual production system. In this plasmid, the regular single strand AAV genome with a MHCK7 promoter and an EGFP reporter is cloned into our novel Ad helper plasmid, mini-pHelper. AAV-MHCK7-EGFP viruses can be generated by co-transfection of this plasmid with regular AAV helper (pRCap) plasmids, carrying AAV2 rep gene and different cap genes, without adding additional Ad helper plasmid to supply E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA functions.
The MHCK7 promoter is a synthetic muscle-specific promoter designed to drive strong and targeted gene expression in cardiac and skeletal muscle cells. It is a valuable tool in gene therapy, muscle research, and the development of transgenic models for studying muscle function and disease. Its engineered design allows for enhanced specificity and expression, making it particularly useful for applications that require precise control of gene expression in muscle tissues. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
