- Overview
  - Nafamostat mesylate is a broad-spectrum serine protease inhibitor produced by chemical synthesis. Nafamostat mesylate is valuable for its anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory activity. Recently, nafamostat mesylate has also been considered for its antiviral action. Tested in 2021 to treat COVID-19 patients, nafamostat mesylate has lowered the mortality rate but it has also shown side effects that need consideration.
