N-(acid-PEG3)-N-bis(PEG3-amine) is a PEG derivative containing amine moieties and a terminal carboxylic acid group. The amine group is reactive toward carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters, carbonyls (ketone, aldehyde) etc. The terminal carboxylic acid can be reacted with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or DCC) to form a stable amide bond. The hydrophilic PEG linker increases the solubility of compounds in aqueous media.
