N-(acid-PEG3)-N-bis(PEG3-azide) is a branched PEG derivative with azide moieties and a terminal carboxylic acid. The azide groups enable PEGylation via Click Chemistry. The terminal carboxylic acid can be reacted with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or DCC) to form a stable amide bond. The hydrophilic PEG linker increases the solubility of the compound in aqueous media.
