Mogengel Human Airway Organoid Kit is a chemically defined cell culture medium for the establishment and maintenance of human tracheal organoids derived from human tracheal stem cells. The self-renewing epithelium of the trachea is driven by the proliferation of basal cells. Human tracheal organoids contain basal cells, ciliated cells, secretory cells and a few neuroendocrine cells, and thus the organoids display all the characteristics of the trachea. Thus, epithelial cells hold great promise for applications in the study of tracheal homeostasis and disease in terms of structure, cell type composition and self-renewal kinetics.
