m-dPEG®36-azide, product number 10531, also known as azido-m-dPEG®36, is a monodispersed PEG product used in click chemistry applications. A non-reactive, charge-neutral methyl group and an alkyne-reactive azido group, respectively, terminate the two ends of the molecule. Both copper(I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) and strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) work with this product. Possible click chemistry-based applications for this product include the construction of dendrimers and hydrogels and the modification of surfaces and biomolecules containing alkyne groups.
Ourmonodispersed discrete PEG linkers and spacers are unique PEGylation reagents sold under the dPEG® tradename. Rather than purify our products from complex mixture of dispersed PEG polymers, we synthesize them from high purity starting materials. We pioneered the processes for synthesizing monodisperse dPEG® reagents. Today, we are the world's leading manufacturer and innovator of monodispersed PEGylation reagents.
Our single molecular weight dPEG® products conquer two pain points that occur in many bioconjugation labs using PEGylation technology. Traditional PEGylation reagents are dispersed polymers. That is, they consist of a complex mixture of different PEG molecular weights and chain lengths. This complexity adds time and expense to the analysis of conjugates made with dispersed PEG. In contrast, our dPEG® products each contain a discrete chain length and molecular weight of PEG. Therefore, you save time and money when analyzing conjugates made with our dPEG® products. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
