Lead Sulfide (PbS) is another narrow bandgap semiconductor, used primarily in infrared photodetectors and photovoltaic devices. It has good photoconductive properties and is sensitive to infrared light. Thin films of PbS can be created using sputtering, providing high-performance materials for infrared detection and solar energy conversion.
