Easy-Load™ Plant Direct PCR Master Mix (2X)

Easy-Load™ Plant Direct PCR Master Mix (2X) is designed specially to perform PCR directly from plant samples. It is a 2X concentrated solution of PlantTaq™ DNA Polymerase, dNTPs, and all of the components required for PCR, except DNA template and primers. This product also contains a 2X loading buffer that enables reactions to be directly loaded on an agarose gel for electrophoresis.

Plant samples can be added directly into PCR reactions with no prior DNA extraction or sample preparation. This product employs the heat-resistant PlantTaq™ DNA polymerase that exhibits high resistance to various PCR inhibitors including chlorophyll, polysaccharide and polyphenols in plants such as corn, sponge gourd, sweet pepper, cowpea, soybean, pepper, cucumber, eggplant and tomato, etc. Leaves and tender seeds freshly collected, stored at 4°C or frozen at low temperatures, can be added directly in PCR reactions without DNA extraction.

This product is highly tolerant and sensitive, requiring a small amount of samples. One leaf disc in 0.1-1mm diameter is sufficient for a 20μ L of PCR reaction.

After amplification, centrifuge the PCR reaction at 3000-5000×g for 3-5 minutes to collect the supernatant for agarose gel electrophoresis.

This product provides a pair of universal positive control primers that are compatible with a variety of plant species, by which the 297bp DNA fragment of the conservative IRB18 gene is amplified.

Nuclease-Free water is required but not supplied. Use any type of ultra-pure H2O or purchase the BeyoPure™ Ultrapure Water (ST876).
