Overview
-
Dialyzed fetal bovine serum can remove some small molecules such as glucose, salts and non-protein binding molecules from serum by its dialysis capability. The molecules with molecular weight less than 10,000 Da can be removed by dialysis, during which the hormones cannot be removed, but the growth ability of some types of cells may be reduced. When this serum is treated at 4°C, the pH, osmotic pressure and glucose concentration should be strictly controlled.
