Carboxyrhodamine 110-peg3-azide is a green fluorescent rhodamine dye. It is a derivative of 5-carboxyrhodamine 110 and has a long PEG spacer, which reduces the steric hinderance caused by the dye on the molecule to be labelled. The azide group on the molecule enables click chemistry through Cu(I)-catalysed alkyne-azide cycloaddition. It has an excitation and emission maximum of 501 and 523nm, respectively. The conjugate has improved solubility than the parent dye and is stable under both acidic and basic conditions.
