Bromo-PEG2-phosphonic acid diethyl ester is a PEG derivative containing a bromine group and a phosphonic acid diethyl ester. The bromine group is a good leaving group and participates in substitution reactions. The hydrophilic PEG linkers increase the water solubility of the compound in aqueous media.
